About me

Empowering people to live a life that matters to them

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Yoga Teacher based in South Oxfordshire. I have a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Oxford, a BSc in Psychology, Mental & Physical Health from the University of Reading and I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist. I am a qualified Yoga Teacher trained in hatha vinyasa, yin yoga, restorative yoga, pre and post natal yoga. I am also a Lecturer on the Counselling Psychology doctorate at Metanoia.

I have over 10 years experience working in the NHS. As a Clinical Psychologist I worked in gastroenterology, pelvic health, chronic pain, bariatric surgery and weight management. I currently work solely in private practice. I am also a guest lecturer at the University of Surrey and University of Hertfordshire on the Clinical Psychology doctorate.

My specialist areas of interest are gut and bowel health, eating behaviour, body image and helping people to adjust to and live well with long-term physical health conditions. The primary model of therapy I work from is Internal Family Systems (IFS). I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT).  Iā€™m interested in bringing the body into Psychology, so I also draw heavily on Polyvagal Theory, the gut-brain axis, yoga and how body systems affect psychological well-being. I work alongside my clients to help them to figure out what deeply matters to them, how they can respond to painful or distressing thoughts and emotions and take action in line with their personal values.

I am trained in ADHD assessments and particularly interested in ADHD and late diagnosed women. I aim for my therapy to be neuro-affirming and welcome neurodivergent clients.

I believe that empowering people to understand how their body works and how the mind, brain and body are interlinked helps to support better psychological and physical health.
