Individual Therapists

This page is to direct you to alternative therapists if I am fully booked or not the right clinician for you.

The psychologists listed below are all individual practitioners with their own private practices that are experienced in either physical health, gut health, IFS and/or trauma therapy. Please contact the individual therapists directly to enquire about their specialisms and availability.

Dr Katherine Gerrard

I’m Katherine, a clinical psychologist with 14 years’ experience of providing evidence-based psychological therapy. I work in an integrative way, informed by cognitive behavioural (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness and compassion focused (CFT) approaches. I specialise in working with people with physical heath problems, including chronic pain and gastrointestinal conditions, and understand the challenges these conditions can bring. I offer goal-focused sessions to assist clients to work on areas of difficulty such as:

• Feeling low, irritable, stressed or anxious

• Low confidence and low self esteem

• Worrying/finding it difficult to ‘switch off’

• Self criticism/finding it difficult to prioritise own needs

• Difficulties with adjusting to/managing long term conditions

• Difficulties in relationships

My aim is for us to work together, non-judgementally, to allow us to understand and address your problems in a safe way. I offer one-to-one sessions, remotely via video (or telephone if preferred). I look forward to hearing from you.

Dr Lisa Reynolds

Lisa is a compassionate, highly skilled and experienced clinical psychologist. She has worked in NHS physical and mental health settings since 2005, providing assessment and psychological therapy for individuals, families, carers and groups. She has experience of working in physical health settings and older people’s mental health, with a particular interest in pelvic health, gynaecology/women’s health, menopause and perimenopause, transvaginal mesh, chronic pain, and medically unexplained symptoms.

Lisa is a warm, empathic person, who focuses on providing a calm, safe therapeutic space to enable reflection and growth in therapy. She works with people who are experiencing distress or other psychological difficulties relating to physical health problems, anxiety, burnout, low mood, sleep problems, bereavement or loss, and preparing for/adjusting to the changes associated with retirement. As Lisa’s goal is to provide formulation-led interventions, she draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Lisa is an experienced clinical supervisor in these modalities, as well as a supervision trainer.

Lisa offers psychological assessment and therapy to self-funding adults (over 18 years), and clinical supervision for clinical psychologists.

Dr Sian Armstrong

I am a health psychologist specialising in supporting individuals with long-term health conditions, including chronic pain, health anxiety, and cancer. I employ an integrative approach that combines cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques to help develop coping skills and address the psychological and emotional challenges associated with chronic health conditions.

Dr Hannah Reville

Hi, I’m Dr Hannah Reville, a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience supporting people from all walks of life with their mental and physical health. As well as my private practice, I work in the NHS at the Royal Berkshire Hospital within the Gastroenterology team, seeing patients with gut issues, primarily Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and also within the Bariatric team, supporting patients on their weight loss journey.

My natural warmth and compassion will provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore and understand your health difficulties. We can make sense of them together through my holistic approach, connecting the mind and body. I draw on evidence-based approaches (such as, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy) as well drawing on the Polyvagal Theory to help people to adjust to their physical health difficulties. My focus is to work with you to explore how you can live well, according to your values and the things that are important to you alongside your health condition.

I am currently on maternity leave and therefore will not be taking on new clients at this time.
